Kaffeenini

Antwerp city is sparkling. Lately, it has become known as the city with coffee bars at the corner of every street. One of them is Kaffeenini, the sister of Barnini; their names alone sound mellifluous. Both pastel retro-styled bars breath the air of Berlin. I’m a bit head over heels with baby Kaffeenini, located right in my beloved home area Antwerp.

This place has even an interior that goes in length, instead of the typical designs, where the coffee bar is designed in depth. You gotta see it to believe it.

The vintage vibe comes along with some dashes of pink, a series of plants and a menu to die for. The expertise of the house are definitely the bagels and the flammkuchen -a speciality from the Elzas. In short: it looks like a pancake and tastes like a real pizza. Do I need to say more?

Besides that, when the sweet staff is walking around with those plateaus, you’ll also notice something else; namely, the coffee desserts. Exactly, I am not a fan of those crazy whipped cream things, but hey they really really look pretty. In fact, those vanilla latte milkshake-like coffees could definitely work for dessert.

Our beloved photographer Kimberley Dhollander snapped a few adorable pictures of this dainty little place .  And let’s be honest, it looks picture-perfect. So hop on to Kaffeenini, whether it’s for making shots or drinking shots of espresso. Kaffeenini, Ich liebe dich.
