For more than two years, Trouw in Amsterdam has been my beloved place to dance all night, wine and dine on birthdays, date nights and exhibitions with a touch of modernity and stardust. Mind-blowing nights, the best place to spend your young years; that was Trouw.
After six years of being a temporary club, this place celebrated it’s never-to-forget ending with a melancholic 37 hour long lasting party. It was phenomenal on every night I spent there. It was a one of a kind club, with an atmosphere that would always leave you raving and dreaming. You could dance to music from the homeboys like Job Jobse and Tom Trago, but you could also enjoy some ever spectacular John Talabot, Nicholas Jaar and Jamie xx. Yeah, this was a place where dreamers could go out. The thrilling techno vibes switched to soft disco sounds and house music. The interior of the old newspaper press company faded into a dark industrial house with neon lights and twilight like lights.
Watch the beautiful closing movie Trouw created, with music from Tom Trago. Whether this was your weekend residence, or you have never been here before; watching this video might give you a glimpse of what that feeling to remember was like.
Trouw will be amazing ‘Until the music stops’ and ever after.
