Dear lovers of aesthetics, museum kids and night owls, I’ve got a last minute tip for you to have an incredible summer night. Save the date! On the 2nd of August 2014, my beloved Antwerp and her magnificent museums are opening their doors to everyone for a night full of art and cosiness in an illuminating setting.
What’s in a name; Museumnacht is a night whereby you can visit the most exquisite museums in this city of lights, hip cafés and an amazing atmosphere, for just one ticket! With just one entrance payment, you’ll have access to all museums. You can bike there or you can hop on and hop off at each of them, by making use of the free arty bus service.
Not only will Antwerp’s little temples of art be open at night; several of them will also organise amazing activities. Check the website to plan your little night of art-shopping and filling your soul with aesthetic pleasure. And, make sure you include one of the workshops in your schedule! I certainly recommend:

Of course there is SO much more to offer, but these are my absolute favorites which I certainly recommend. Hurry up, you can’t arrive too late at the museums -since they are open till past midnight!- but you can get your tickets for an early bird price!
